Privacy Policy

This is a prototype of the proposed PSCB platform, built by ChordexBio. It demonstrates functionality only.

Data we collect

Account details (name, email), membership class, submitted publications, and event registrations you provide. Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing; two-factor secrets are encrypted at rest (AES-256).

How we use it

To operate membership, publishing, and events; to contact you about Society activities; and to display public member directories you opt into.

Your rights

You may request export or deletion of your data via the member portal or by contacting the Secretariat.

Security

This platform uses HTTPS, secure session cookies (HttpOnly, SameSite), CSRF tokens, rate limiting, and parameterised queries to prevent common web attacks.
